Mammography uses lower KV (for higher images contrast) and higher MA(for shorter exposure times )compared with the technique for chest and abdominal examinations

. Small focal spot size (0.2-0.5mm)

-         Molybdenum ,Rhodium, Tungsten

-         Mammography is usually done after 40 years because in Young age ,breast has dense glandular parenchyma. Where it is difficult to see the lesion on mammography and glandular tissue is more sensitive to radiation

Normaly taking  TWO views

. Mediolateral (more important because of the more coverage area )

. Craniocaudal

Mammography has 10-40 times more radiation exposure than CXR
